Rolf and Caroline Hovey Memorial Music Scholarship

The Rolf and Caroline Hovey Memorial Music Scholarship was established in 1995 by the Hovey family and by former students in loving memory of Dr. Hovey, founder and director of the Berea College Chapel Choir and longtime Chairman of the Music Department. The award is to be used to provide an annual prize to seniors or highly qualified students who are majoring in Music and intend to teach or perform. Preference should be given to the following: 1. First preference will be for a student who has performed with the Concert Choir and received the recommendation of the Concert Choir director or the chair of the Music department. 2. Second preference will be for a student who has accompanied the Concert Choir.
