Mildred A. Bolt Scholarship

The Mildred A Bolt Scholarship was created in 1927 by alumni of the Detroit School of Expression in Detroit, Michigan, in memory of the founder of the school, Mildred A Bolt. Mildred Bolt was one of the chief recreational reformers of the City and she died in 1923. The scholarship is for Education majors who are planning to teach. They are selected by staff of the Education Department on the basis of financial need, academic achievement, citizenship, character and promise as a teacher.
